How many times have you let yourself get discouraged because you didn't do quite as well as you expected? 

For me? More than I can count.

Perfection is an elusive thing, isn't it? We all dream of being the best at something, of being the example everyone else looks at when trying to see how it's done. 

But the reality is that a life spent working towards perfection alone is a life that's wasted. Marcus Aurelius, the emperor of ancient Rome, once said that "The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts." 

That means if we want to be happy, we need to focus on just doing the best we can - giving it our all, in everything we do. Encourage yourself as you continue to grow and you'll find that while nobody is perfect, you're a lot closer than you thought.
